Dr. Shirley Wang
Dr. Wang founded Empower clinic in year 2018 with the vision of whole-person approach to achieve rheumatologic well-being. Named Best Doctor in 2015 and 2016, she has found the practice of medicine comes in full cycle when partnering with patients (children and adults) and their families in identifying triggers, patterns and individualizing health management. Dr. Wang graduated from University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2003, with Internal medicine residency at KUMC-Wichita and Rheumatology fellowship at University of Oklahoma.
Ashley Ahring

Ashley joined Empower team as certified PA in year 2021 with experience in Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics and Rheumatology. She earned her undergraduate degree in Science and Biology at Truman State University in 2001 and Master in Physician Assistant Program from Saint Louis University in 2004.
Courtni Parker

Courtni joined Empower team as certified ARNP in year 2023 with experience in neurology and urgent care. She earned her undergraduate degree in Spanish and Culture from University of Kansas in 2014, Bachelor of Science in nursing from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2017 and Master of Science in Nursing from University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2022.
Robert Graham

Dr. Graham joined Empower management team in May 2020 with decades of experience in medicine as a licensed chiropractor and private practice owner. His dedication in serving patients as clinic administrator and finding solution/resolution for clinic operation in the ever changing climate of health care is admirable.
DeElla VanFleet
- Office Manager
Ms. VanFleet joined Dr. Wang in the endeavor of patient care dated back to year 2015 while both were working together in Wichita KS. As a pillar to Empower clinic, Ms. VanFleet, to the testament of many staff and patients/families, is what keeps the clinic moving forward, staying on track in the good and not-so-good times. Her gentleness and humbleness are one of the invisible forces for the continual operation of Empower clinic.
